Event Description

Learn with colleagues from the Minnesota area who are interested in enhancing their effectiveness as nurse educators. This interactive workshop, led by experienced and innovative nursing faculty, will help you develop strategies that help meet the demands of the changing faculty role.

Workshop Objectives:

  1. Enhance advancement of the nurse educator role through discussion of collaborative practice and innovative research findings.
  2. Identify strategies that support development of clinical reasoning in nursing students.
  3. Explore challenges related to the changing role of the nurse educator.

CE: Up to 7.1 contact hours will be awarded upon completion of the workshop (in accordance with the MN Board of Nursing).

Call for Abstracts: Nurse Educator Research Brief

Submit by April 30 below under Registration

The workshop includes a Nurse Educator Research Briefs panel presentation, focused on the research activities of attendees that address the nurse educator role. It’s a great opportunity to share your work!

Purpose: Provide an opportunity to disseminate research findings regarding a topic that directly impacts the Nurse Educator role.

Context: This is a 10 minute formal oral mini-presentation that summarizes your research and implications for nursing education. Three or four presenters will be included in the panel. Following the mini-presentations, there will be an open Q & A with the workshop attendees facilitated by workshop faculty. Applicants will be notified by May 8, 2015 if the abstract was accepted. Presenters will be required to submit current CV and PDFs of any handouts for participants no later than May 18, 2015.
