Whether it's your first time going to college or you're transferring to Bethel, we've got great things planned for you!

 

Before you arrive make sure to walk through these steps.

What is Winter Welcome?

Winter Welcome is a two-day orientation and your official start at Bethel! You'll make new friends and learn everything you need to know how to maximize your Bethel experience.

Schedule for Tuesday, January 30

1:30-3 p.m. | Move-In for Students in Campus Housing | Your Residence Hall
If you're moving on campus, the Winter Welcome team will meet you at your residence hall. The team will GLADLY move all of your things into your room-just tell them what stays in your vehicle!

2-3:30 p.m. | Orientation Check-In | Brushaber Commons (BC) Level 2 (outside the Admissions Guest Center)
Please check in anytime during this time window. After checking in, here are the options:
Family members, please check in, too! We look forward to connecting with you. We also have online resources for parents and families and are always available if you have questions.

3:30-4 p.m. | Student and Family Welcome | Olson Boardroom (BC Level 4)
This is your official Bethel welcome! It includes an overview of several supporting offices on campus and tips on all things Bethel! Family members, please stay for this session before you say goodbye to your student.

4:15-5 p.m. | Off to a Great Start | Olson Boardroom (BC Level 4)
Make your first week and first semester at Bethel the best! In this session, you'll get help to ensure your schedule and any transfer credits you have are in order. You'll also learn about important academic resources.

5-6 p.m. | Advising Central & Late Check-In | BC432 (BC Level 4) & BC Level 4 Lobby
Have questions about your class schedule or requirements? Get help from a member of the advising team. 

6-7 p.m. | Dinner | Meet outside Monson Dining Center (BC Level 3)
You are invited to a complimentary meal with Winter Welcome and university staff.

7-8 p.m. | Connect and Unpack
If you're a commuter student, connect in the Underground (BC Level 2) and get to know other commuters. If you're in campus housing, use this time to unpack and meet roommates and hallmates.

8 p.m. | Evening Activity | Meet in The Underground (BC Level 2)
Join other new students for an exciting evening of games, snacks, and prizes! We will play games and do prize giveaways in the Underground and then head out to play broomball and eat smores around a camp fire. Broomball equipment will be provided. Please bring warm outerwear.

Schedule for Wednesday, January 31

9-9:45 a.m. | Breakfast | Meet outside Monson Dining Center (BC Level 3)
Meet the Welcome Winter Team for breakfast! Bring your ID card if you are on a meal plan. If you don't have a meal plan, we'll cover your breakfast cost.

Morning | Prepare for classes, connect with your roommates, etc.

12-12:45 p.m. | Lunch | Meet outside Monson Dining Center (BC Level 3)
Meet the Winter Welcome Team for Lunch! Bring your ID card if you're on a meal plan. If you don't have a meal plan, we'll cover your lunch cost.

1-2 p.m. | Campus Resource Tour and Walk Your Schedule | Meet outside Monson Dining Center after lunch
Become familiar with campus spaces as you walk your class schedule with another student.

 5-5:30 p.m. | Dinner | Meet outside Monson Dining Center (BC Level 3)
Meet the Winter Welcome Team for dinner! Bring your ID card if you're on a meal plan. If you don't have a meal plan, we'll cover your dinner cost.

7-9:00 p.m. | Basketball Game | Meet outside the Robertson Center (RC3) Gym at 6:50 p.m.
Cheer on the Bethel Royals at this game against Macalester.
