Biography
JB grew up in Jordan. After completing his M.Sc. in Chemistry in Jordan, he spent 5 years in Germany where he obtained his PhD in Organic Chemistry in 2005. Later, during his 4.5 years of postdoctoral research in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, JB began his research in drug design, synthesis and discovery, specifically as it relates to cancer treatment, which he has continued. Besides JB’s research in medicinal chemistry, he also loves using his organic chemistry skills in the kitchen making hummus, falafel, yogurt, kefir cheese, and mansef-a traditional Jordanian dish of yogurt and lamb served over rice.
