Peyton has specialized in adult oncology as an RN (BSN) since her graduation from Bethel in 2017. She is ONS/ONCC certified and enjoys keeping up to date with the newest cancer research. She has been a nursing instructor at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and has experience teaching on many different specialty floors. The "aha!" moment that students experience is what keeps her coming back to teach nursing. In the past, she has also worked at Fidocure - helping to pave the way for dogs fighting cancer by providing targeted therapies that were previously only for human use.

Biography

Peyton started teaching at Bethel for the nursing program in 2025. Although her specialty is adult oncology, she loves leading students through many kinds of clinical specialties. She has worked at Mercy Hospital, University of Minnesota Medical Center, Allegheny General Cancer Institute, Duquense University, and is currently working at the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center. She is married to her husband John, and they have five rescued fur babies. They enjoy fostering for local animal shelters as well as traveling the world in their free time.
