Event Description
An interactive and immersive Spanish learning experience!
This camp is for students who have taken one or two years of middle school or high school Spanish. We will solidify and reinforce basic foundational vocabulary and grammar through interactive activities. Students will gain confidence with using the Spanish language, strengthen their speaking skills, and overall be better prepared for higher level Spanish courses.
We will put our Spanish into practice with a variety of interactive and hands-on activities, such as:
Guiding each other with verbal directions to navigate through campus
Giving and following recipe instructions to prepare our own lunch
Doing a nature walk scavenger hunt
Giving and following clues for a treasure hunt
Learning songs in Spanish to improve pronunciation
Playing a variety of language games to reinforce grammar and vocabulary
In addition to these interactive activities, students will also practice writing skills with their camp diaries and have a take-home packet which contains all of the things we have learned and practiced.
Overnight accommodations will be provided in Lissner Hall. Housing is suite-style with 3 bedrooms, living area, and private bathroom. Each bedroom has 2 twin XL beds, 2 desks and chairs, and a closet. Students will be housed with other students from their camp, with up to 2 students per bedroom. Roommate requests can be emailed to conference-event@bethel.edu. Students will be supervised by a Bethel Resident Director and a team of overnight hosts hired from our pool of Bethel Student Resident Assistants and Teaching Assistants.
Bethel camps reflect the mission, vision, and values of the university.

Cancellations
Cancellations will be accepted until June 1. The payment will be refunded, less a $30 service fee.
