Undergrad Undergraduate Student Life Welcome Week

Interested in joining the team?

Welcome Week (WW) applications for coordinator and committee head positions will be available beginning October 1. Applications for returning and first-time staff will be available in December and the interview process will begin in February.

The majority of Welcome Week leadership positions begin in February and go through the first week of fall semester. This is a spring semester commitment.

Staff hiring process

The staff hiring process is outlined on the staff application

  • Monday, February 5—Returner WW staff applications due
  • Wednesday, February 5—New WW staff applications due
  • Thursday-Friday, February 6-7—Group interview days
  • Saturday, February 8—Notification of individual interviews
  • Saturday, February 8–Wednesday, February 19—Individual interviews
  • Thursday, February 20—Notification of hiring decisions
  • Saturday and Sunday, March 1-2—Welcome Week staff retreat

Coordinator hiring process

Applications are due by midnight on Friday, November 1. Decisions will be made about coordinators before November 22.

Steps 1-4 below must be completed before your interview. If the tactical application tasks are difficult to schedule, please tell us and we will make an exception!

  1. Thoroughly read the job description.
  2. Complete the written online application.
  3. Provide two references.
  4. Complete the coordinator tactical application. This may take some time—allow several days to finish.
  5. Sign up for interviews with Nate Gustafson, Josh Sampson and last year's coordinators. The link will be emailed.

Committee head hiring process

Applications are due Friday, November 22 at midnight.

Steps 1-4 below must be completed before your interview.
  1. Thoroughly read the job description.
  2. Complete written online application.
  3. Provide one reference.
  4. Complete the committee head tactical application. This may take some time—allow several days to finish.
  5. Sign up for an interview with coordinators, Nate Gustafson and Josh Sampson. The link will be emailed.
